projectskinnyboy started as an Instagram community to help raise the self-esteem of skinny boys by sharing their photos and life stories to a supportive wider audience of confident peers around the world. projectskinnyboy grew into a diverse community of boys throughout The United States, Brazil, South Africa and other locations. projectskinnyboy was launched during the #metoo movement in Manhattan (Harlem), New York City, August 23 2017. It empowered aspiring male models to take charge of their portfolios while expressing freedom of spirit. It is now based in Holyoke, Massachusetts. projectskinnyboy has helped our skinny boys walk New York Fashion Week and book jobs with Prada, Coach and many brands via booking agency placement and direct bookings. The project’s foundation was to elevate skinny boys as a symbol of male beauty while sharing their life stories, inspiration and struggles. Our boys life stories add meaning and context to the images our boys share. May 6 2021 the project now shifts its focus to providing a magical space where boys from all walks of life come and create. #projectskinnyboys
